Software Development Internship

Are you interested in a fantastic opportunity that hits every point a student like you wants in the perfect internship, working on the latest technology with a local company who is trying to change the world for the better?

Golden Path Solutions is looking for a software engineer intern to help add functionality to its student facing application called Compass. If you haven’t heard of Golden Path, we are an up and coming company based in Fargo, North Dakota. We help students plan for their future by making career suggestions based on the experiences they’ve had so far in their school years, help employers identify future workforce needs and predict whether someone would be great at a specific job, and then match the two where a student can get a guaranteed job with potential tuition reimbursement and an employer can secure a future workforce with the right education and the right skillset. This fall our application will be used in every high school across the state of North Dakota, and we need you to help us take our technology to the next level!

We are looking for interns that can help in three key areas:

  • Make improvements to the user interface of Compass and make it optimized for mobile
  • Integrate cloud-based machine learning capabilities to provide insight to Golden Path team members and partners on activity within the application
  • Help drive front-end features that improve usability of the application
We think the following technologies and skill sets are just what we need:
  • Front end: Vue.js, other modern web front-end framework like React or Angular Application design Back end: C# and SQL Server
  • Microsoft Azure & associated tools (Azure Cognitive Search)
  • Mobile development

The length of this internship would last for 3 months, and would average 15-20 hours per week. This would be a combination of working both remotely and together, most likely at the NDSU Technology Park in North Fargo.

Golden Path Solutions is looking for a marketing or communications intern who can help us communicate and drive engagement with high-school students who use our software application “Compass.” If you haven’t heard of Golden Path, we are an up and coming company based in Fargo, North Dakota. For us to be successful, we need to be able to communicate with students and make sure they are engaged in the platform. This is no easy task, which is why we need your help. We need your ideas and perspectives to figure out how to drive excitement – what is the best way to communicate with students? What do they want to see in those communications? What platform is best to reach them? And how do we get their feedback so we are making sure we meet their needs? We’re looking for someone who has creativity in trying new things, can help us drive testing across different platforms (Tik-Tok, Instagram, Snapchat, Facebook, etc.), the can drive different programs to see how we can drive engagement, etc. We want someone who is high-energy, enthusiastic, and ready to hit the ground running.
