The Compass by Golden Path mobile app makes it even easier for you to manage your career exploration and planning. Update your profile, search for work-based learning, connect with an employer, and more – all from the convenience of your phone. Notifications will keep you informed of new opportunities and upcoming tasks too.

Using the app for the first time

1. Download the Compass by Golden Path Solutions app from the Google Play Store or the Apple App Store.
   
2. Open the app on your phone. 
3. Generate a mobile code. You’ll need your computer for this step. The mobile app will ask if you have a mobile code. Follow these steps on your computer:
   1. Log in to Compass through your school online learning program or at compass.goldenpath.net.
   2. Click on your name in the top right corner and select Use Compass on Mobile.
   3. Select Generate Code.
   4. Type that code into the Compass app home screen on your phone.
   5. If you receive an error message during the linking process, wait 10 seconds, generate a new code on your computer, and enter that code on the app.
      
4. Your app is now linked to your Compass account. Check out new opportunities in the app, update your profile, and set your notification preferences.

Unique for North Dakota students

North Dakota students access Compass through RUReadyND via Infinite Campus. A few of your Compass app features are restricted because of this, which just means you need to use your computer for those activities instead. For example, you can browse WBLs on your phone, but only apply for them on your computer. You can also select mobile notifications but not email notifications through the app.

Generating a mobile code for North Dakota students

1. Log in to Infinite Campus and access RUReady.nd.gov.
2. Select Go to Your Compass Profile.
3. Click on the Mobile Phone icon in the top right corner.
4. Select Generate Code.
5. Type that mobile code into the home screen on the Compass app on your phone.

Note: If you haven’t used Compass before, check your school email account for a school-specific Compass URL. Use this URL and your school email address to create your Compass account on a web browser. The URL will automatically associate you with your school’s unique version of Compass, including specific classes, offerings, and more. Once you have a Compass account, you can link it to the app.
