AI-enhanced employer Compass account creation

Employers can now create their Compass accounts in less than a minute, thanks to integrated AI in Compass.

Here’s how:

  1. Scan a Compass employer QR Code like the one in the image above. (This particular QR Code is set to share your information with all schools in Compass, which you can later adjust in your account.)
  2. Follow the few prompts to enter basic contact information, company name, and company website.
  3. With the help of AI, Compass will generate your company description, related links, and social accounts.
  4. Review the information and edit for accuracy and authenticity. AI is helpful to get things started, but students want to know your company. Add details, facts, and warmth to personalize the profile.
  5. Students can now find your account and learn about your organization. With just a few more minutes, you can offer a job shadow or work-based learning opportunity for even more connections.

Employers can still build out a Compass profile in the traditional manner, writing their own content, but this method speeds up the process for those who are interested. Think of it as a fast first draft. We especially had it in mind for school events, career fairs, and other activities where employers may want to join Compass at the event.

Related, school professionals can now generate a custom QR Code or URL to send to employers they would like to work with in Compass. They can set the recommended connection opportunities, such as classroom presentations and career fairs, making it easy for employers to know what the school is interested in.

AI-assisted Career Profile creation

We’re using AI to make your Career Profiles easier to write. We’ve created a ChatGPT AI agent with information about Career Profile structure, contents, and style, all designed to help you write individual sections or create a first draft of the entire profile. The agent is currently in the testing phase, and we will let you know when it is ready for use.

Here’s how it will work:

  1. Go to the URL for the Career Profile ChatGPT AI agent.
  2. Sign in to your ChatGPT for the best experience. It will then remember your company information and particular Career Profile requests, making it even more efficient to create future profiles. Be sure to keep all of your work in one chat.
  3. Provide the agent with a job description, your company website, and any additional websites or documents.
  4. Ask the agent to write a section of the profile (such as required skills) or draft the entire profile.
  5. Edit the content for accuracy and authenticity. Like with your employer profile, students want content from you, not AI. Personalize your Career Profile with facts, details, and inviting language.
  6. Copy and paste the final product into the Compass Career Profile intake form.
