North Dakota school professionals are invited to attend RUReadyND and Compass in-person training workshops this fall. These beginner-level training sessions provide the essential knowledge and tools to begin using these online platforms with students.
Offered in September across the state, the free RUReadyND and Compass workshops are designed specifically for professionals who support students with education and career planning. This includes counselors, career advisors, teachers, work-based learning (WBL) coordinators, administrators, and anyone else who would benefit from the training.
The sessions will explore a variety of topics and resources, including career assessments, an introduction to WBL and Compass, postsecondary planning, lesson plans, reporting tools, plans of study options, and more.
All workshops are held 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.

School professionals seeking more advanced RUReady.ND.gov training options can register for virtual Level UP! training sessions later this fall. Designed for those who have already attended the beginner-level workshops or have experience with RUReady.ND.gov and Compass, these short, topic-focused virtual workshops will enable participants to deepen their knowledge and skills. Workshop topics and registration will be available later this fall.
