We were excited to be part of a panel discussion hosted by Amy Whitney at the UND Center of Innovation in Grand Forks with Brad Barth (Devils Lake Economic Development), Shelly Blome (NDSCS Director of Financial Aid) and Arik Spencer (President & CEO of the ND Chamber of Commerce) about the ND Career Builders program. Brenda Zastoupil & Lisa Johnson from the NDUS system walked a group of over 50 business leaders, educators, and government staff through the program, and we on the panel talked about how we’re using the program for our respective organizations. If you’re not familiar with it, the state of ND will match up to $8500 of employer dollars contributed towards a student’s education for certain high-demand jobs. This can be in the form of a scholarship while the student is in school, or loan repayment after the student has graduated. The only requirement is the student needs to stay in the state of ND for at least 3 years after graduation. Golden Path Solutions can work with you to figure out how the program might facilitate the matching and sponsorship process that we use to help you develop your future workforce.
