North Dakota educators can now earn continuing education credit while learning how to use Compass to manage the Four-Year Rolling Plan for students.

Managing the Four-Year Rolling Plan in Compass” is a new course offered through ND Educational Hub. Led by Golden Path Solutions Founder and CEO Patrick Mineer, the course provides practical guidance for using Compass to manage students’ plans, including how to update school course lists, access relevant administrative tools in the Compass Console, and support students in updating their Compass profiles.

The course is intended for CTE and other career-focused instructors, school counselors, advisors, and administrators.

The easy-to-use online course also highlights additional benefits of Compass and RUReady.ND.gov. Students can use these platforms to learn about regional employers, careers, colleges and programs, and work-based learning opportunities! This course will help school professionals familiarize themselves with Compass so they can better assist students with career exploration this school year.

Managing the Four-Year Rolling Plan in Compass” is asynchronous, self-paced, and designed to take about 15 hours. The course modules feature short videos and walkthroughs, hands-on activities and assignments, and discussion prompts. The course also includes a final paper to demonstrate learning and application.

Upon completion of the course, educators will receive one professional development credit from Valley City (ND) State University.
