The free, information-packed virtual meeting will walk parents through the tools and resources available to help their family pay for college, including what steps they can take now.
The webinar is hosted by College Smart, a Fargo, ND, company dedicated to helping families better understand college financial aid options, including grants and scholarships, how to apply, and how to accurately compare expected out-of-pocket costs for their teens’ chosen colleges. Founder Ryan Keel brings more than 20 years of financial experience to this role in helping parents prepare to pay less for college rather than trying to save more.
Webinar participants will explore:
- The Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) – What you need to know before completing the application, the types of aid your family could receive, and what to expect in the process
- Scholarships – What types are available and how to apply
- Sponsorships – How students can connect with employers to receive full- or partial-tuition reimbursement in exchange for a signed agreement to work for the company following postsecondary graduation
